Hot Pink Shorts: The Making Of
For season three, Hot Pink Shorts has gone BIG.
We want to highlight the amazing ingenuity, creativity, and sense of passion that we know to characterize our community. To that end we’re inviting users young and old, experienced filmmakers or not, to send us video pitches of their Queer themed short film idea.
Viewers will have the chance to watch the submissions, provide feedback, and vote on their favourites. A group of finalists will be determined through user votes, from which six will be chosen and featured on this season’s episodes of Hot Pink Shorts.

Each episode will follow one winning filmmaker as their short film idea becomes a reality. But they won’t be going it alone. OUTtv will be there to pony up a budget of $2500 for production, while industry professionals will be on hand to provide invaluable advice and experience.
“Our mission has always been to build a Network that authentically communicates the stories, passions and diverse voices of the LGBT community. The Hot Pink Shorts site advances that goal by providing the community with a opportunity to connect with, share and socialize around their own content,” notes OUTtv COO, Brad Danks. “Ultimately it provides a unique opportunity for compelling stories to be produced and shared in collaboration with its audience.”
