Hot Pink Shorts: A Look Back
Hot Pink Shorts burst onto the OUTtv scene in 2007, featuring hosts Luvia Petersen and Rob Trinh. It focused on short films from producers all over the world with each episode having a theme, like parent involvement in life and love. Season two saw this format continued, with short films pouring in from many different countries and exploring a wide variety of themes and subject matter.
Season two also saw the introduction of new hosts, Dianna David and Jonny Staub. Dianna is a former mechanical engineer turned professional entertainer, diving into the world of clowning, a passion that has taken her to institutions like San Francisco's Clown Conservatory and The School of Physical Theatre in London, England.
That brings us to Jonny Staub, the voice of Hot Pink Shorts: The Making Of. Jonny began his career in media as a traffic reporter in Kitchener, Ontario. He later went on to hosting positions at CITY TV's Breakfast Television Edmonton, Shaw TV Edmonton, and the Let's Talk Sex show with Dr. Pegga Ren. These days, Jonny graces the airwaves of the Beat 94.5 with his own top-rated midday show as well as being a prolific blogger for the website, Homorazzi.
